The Summer 2010 Newsletter reviews the 6th Annual Evening of Hope at the Sheldon, features an interview with Alison Goate,D.Phil., the new director of the Hope Center for Neurological Disorders as part of the  Faces of Hope Campaign, and informs our readers about a new ALS treatment that has entered Phase 1 Clinical Trial.

The Spring 2010 Newsletter previews the 6th annual Evening of Hope featuring Sylvia McNair at the Sheldon Concert Hall, announces Julie Kindle and Bill Finnie joining the Hope Happens Board of Directors, and the three 2010 pilot project grants awarded at the Hope Center. It also features Mark Goldberg, MD, as part of the Faces of Hope Campaign, and a letter by Hope Happen's President Toby Martin. Moreover it recognizes all donors who made a gift to Hope Happens in 2009. Thank you!

The Fall 2009 Newsletter announces that Jack Taylor, Enterprise Rent-A-Car founder, made a significant donation to Hope Happens. His gift will be designated in part to the Danforth Challenge. Other topics are Hope Happens Board Members Jean Hobler and John Brightman being honored, Sandy Kaplan becoming Hope Happens' new Director of Development, and Hope Center scientist Anne Cross, MD, whose research focus is Multiple Sclerosis.

The Summer 2008 Newsletter reviews the 4th annual Evening of Hope, the progress report toward cures by Neurology chief Dr. David M. Holtzman, and the educational series about advances in neurological research cosponsored by Hope Happens and Ladue Chapel Presbyterian Church. It also announces that Thomas A. Woolsey, MD, has joined the Hope Center Board of Directors, and that Dr. Woolsey and Floyd E. Bloom, MD, have joined the Executive Committee of the Hope Center. It lists all the memorial gifts received from 1/1/08 to 6/30/08.

The Winter/Spring 2008 Newsletter previews the 4th annual Evening of Hope, announces a significant gift from the Dana Brown Charitable Foundation and recognizes our 2007 donors. It contains articles about Co-Founder Jean Hobler, the enormous need for cures, and the concern of prestigious medical centers expressing about the “looming crisis of diminished resource and research” due to a “funding crisis” at the National Institutes of Health. It also describes why the Laughlin Brain Injury Foundation supports Hope Happen, the expansion of the Hope Center faculty and the expansion of the Hope Happens Board.

The Summer 2007 Newsletter reviews the 3rd annual Evening of Hope, Jean Hobler’s recognition as a Woman of Achievement, and the awarding of the Christopher Hobler Spirit of Hope award to Dr. William H. Danforth, Washington University Chancellor Emeritus. It announces the upcoming 609 Restaurant benefit for Hope Happens and the multi-year Philpott Family Foundation pledge. It also contains articles about the Hope feature on KSDK-TV and the Renaissance Financial meeting at the Hope Center, as well as a reprint from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch of an article by Kay Quinn about the Hope Center making the search for cures a collaborative effort.

The Spring 2007 Newsletter  previews the 3rd annual Evening of Hope and announces a leadership gift from the family of Ann Griesedieck Morrissey and contains a special thanks to our of our 2006 donors. It contains articles about the Atrium Gallery benefit, as well as support we received from employees of CheckMark Communications, Ladue Middle School students,and the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women.

It also introduces the new Deputy Directory of the Hope Center and explains the significance of a first-ever NIH grant to support collaborative translational research.It also describes honors to two Hope Center scientists.  

The Fall 2006 Newsletter announces a significant NIH grant to support research at The Hope Center, the hiring of a new Executive Director and  three special research grants to Hope Center scientists.  It also lists charter members of the Hope Society and describes the 2nd Annual Evening of Hope and the Ladue New StyleFile benefit.
